Şabanözü is a town and a district of Çankırı Province, Turkey. It is nearly 80 km from Ankara and 100 km from Çankırı. Every Monday is the day for bazaar which takes place in the center of the town. Wheat, beans, corn and various fruits are the agricultural products of the fields that are rich of natural water sources. Gümerdiğin is one of the biggest towns of the district.
