From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Greetings!
My name is Ryan, and it's my pleasure to welcome you, €pa, to Wikipedia! First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining the project, and contributing to articles and discussion. I hope you can continue to take part in Wikipedia, because we need more valuable editors like yourself.
If you are new and need some assistance, here are some great links to check out:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia are the primary goals and most important rules that we follow.
- These help pages are important if you'd like to learn more about specific processes.
- The tutorial is a hands-on approach to learning all about editing.
- For a "crash course" in editing, head on over to Redwolf24's Bootcamp!
- Writing a great article is a noble accomplishment. An article you start might end up on the Main Page!
- The Manual of style is an in-depth group of pages that will teach you how to make articles look their very best.
I hope you enjoy editing here, and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, find out where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Before I go, here's one more tip. When you post on talk pages, be sure to sign your name and the date by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically generates your username and the date. Again, welcome, and happy editing! --King of All the Franks 02:56, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
Ah, you're quite welcome, and thanks for the holiday greetings. I wish you a very Merry Christmas as well. --King of All the Franks 03:07, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Revolutions
Regarding this edit, I expanded the paragraph but removed Paretto and Rosenstock-Huessy - Goodwin does not mentions them in his list. I plan on expanding this article, so if you have any reference that those two wrote about revolutions, please don't hestitate to correct me.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 02:34, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Piotrus, thank you for telling me. Vilfredo Pareto developed a theory of "revolution" - and "evolution" as well - when discussing different types of elites ("lions", "foxes") replacing one another (Trattato di Sociologia Generale, 1913). Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy published the monograph Die europäischen Revolutionen (last edition 1987), trying to find out an order of different historical types, starting with the papal revolution and ending up with the proletarian one. Therefore, I included them in the artikel and shall try it again. - Greetings -- €pa 19:59, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

- I am familiar with Pareto's theory - but I'd rather think it classifies as a theory of social cycles, not revolutions. Rosentock's writings seem more 'revolutionary' - perhaps you could add a note about them to his aricle?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 03:20, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

- Hi Piotrus, thank you for your message. Concerning Pareto, certainly, there are cycles; but, foxes replace lions in an evolutionary process by cunning, but lions foxes by revolutions, using force - their main "residuum" includes force. Furthermore, I shall look up Rosenstock-Huessy, trying to bring in more information, this has been a good hint. Greetings -- €pa 01:55, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re John Rex
Great edit on this article. I am going to unwatch it now, since I was only looking after it until someone who knew both the subject and how to edit to the Wiki style came along. Enjoy! LessHeard vanU 21:18, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
