[edit] Airing in United States

I watched .Hack//Roots this morning on Cartoon Network (5:00 in the morning...) So, uh, I've added that to the article. Just so you know... Mireiyu 20:01, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gordon Hood

I find the phrase "Gord considers himself to be a PK, saying that they must 'crush the weak and save the strong'" to be wrong. It's actually somewhat the reverse, and I will show you why.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkOPJZY-sRI&search=.hack//roots%202

Taken directly from .hack//Roots Episode 2 (part 3) sub on Youtube

Gord: You're...Haseo, right?
Haseo: (nods)
Gord: B-Set didn't tell you anything?
Haseo: She said, "You'll know when you're there."
Gord: She didn't tell you all about me?
Haseo: Huh?
Gord: Saving the weak, crushing the strong, justice's...
Haseo: PKer?
Gord: Well, something like that.

I hope this helps. --GT Koopa 04:08, 9 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Factcheck HDTV

I'm requesting a fact check on this quote: [.hack//Roots] is the first .hack tv series broadcasted in HDTV. I'm pretty sure that both .hack//SIGN and .hack//LotT were both broadcasted in HDTV as well.

. widescreen doesn't necesarely equal to high definition. HD anime is a fairly recent fenomena. However, since I have no information abpit older analogue japanese HD broadcasts, I can't discard the possibility that hack//SIGN coul have been broadcasted in high-definition in 2002.

[edit] So unbelievably right

You're essentially right. Gord considers himself of a sort of hero. But is in actuallity perhaps a PKK, though maybe he's simply lumped together with other PKer's. As at that time, maybe he exhibited traits that would make him harder to seperate from people who are playing to save your life from those who are trying to gank you. It could also be guessed that he plays as a hero but his behavior and actions are the aspects of a PKer. We would never know for sure.

Also, who the hell is it that keeps calling the female grappler character "Pi" instead of the appropriate "Pai". Whoever it is. He or she maybe right to do so for the english version if it was subbed and the name of the character came out as "Pi", but the problem is that it isn't seplled that way according to Bandai. You have to realize the name's "Pai" and "Pi" are both sounding the same, as well as "Pie".

Please understand that depite what you might think, you'll find that "Pai" is supposed to be the appropriate spelling of the character's name, as stated such by Bandai. You can't just spell out a name what you think it might be. Follow rules of name convention. And technically, from the image I produced, isn't that technically letters you can read in English. It does say "Pai" you know.

So thus, the name has to be "Pai", and not "Pi", as you perhaps thought it was spelled. This isn't a character you've created; someone else did the work. So be respectful and spell it right. It's spelled "Pai", not "Pi" like the mathematical symbol. Psypho 19:07, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Refer to the Page history section to find out who is editing "Pai" into "Pi". Edit summaries are included and they should provide sufficient information. I have stated that it states "Pai" because they are Japanese Trailers. The official spelling in the english version can be seen in a game screenshot, also noted in the History, here. Please take note that it is generally not accepted that putting external links to images in the article are not acceptable, because of hotlinking and copyright issues. The image you posted was also Japanese. This is the English Wikipedia, so the English translation should be used. no doubt about that. Pi is the correct one. - Zero1328 Talk? 08:17, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
You got me there. I saw the image after I copied and pasted the address left by you, by going through the edit page. You're link, on the otherhand, does not work. But yes, you're right. I'll refrain from further changes, unless otherwise noted.

[edit] The "TrapCats"

Would it be worth mentioning that Iita has a male 'player'?

[edit] Saburo's class

Checking different sources, it seems more so that Edge Punishers are exclusively swords; as seen in the anime, she seems to use an axe, which may deal more with a Flick Reaper. Just thought I'd throw that out there, it's been bugging me for a while.

However, I guess we won't know until .hack//G.U. Vol. 2 comes out.

I believe I remember seeing some Axe-like weapons for the Edge Punisher class...I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, Blade Brandiers are the one's that are reserved for swords. I think Edge Punishers are restricted to large, bulky weapons. -Vance Finiraldi 07:27, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Another note. Grein from the G.U. series is an Edge Punisher, and he weilds a weapons similar to that of Saburou's. -Vance Finiraldi 06:33, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
