The 53rd Street Tunnel carries the IND Queens Boulevard Line (currently the E and V trains) of the New York City Subway under the East River between Manhattan and Queens, New York City.
The tunnel begins under 53rd Street in Manhattan and runs across the East River to 50th Avenue in Queens. It carries the Queens Boulevard Line, feeding from the IND Eighth Avenue and Sixth Avenue lines, to Long Island City, where it is fed by the BMT 60th Street Tunnel Connection and the IND Crosstown Line west of Queens Plaza station.
