This is ridiculous!!! This alphabet, fortunately for all romanians in Moldova, is not a requirment anymore. No romanian uses it anymore in Moldova--thanks God! I don't understand why pages in so called "Moldavian Language" are even created...I have no words to express my anger when I see this page...

Again, how do you know if I even know how to write in Cyrillic? And even if my Cyrillic spelling was horrible I wouldn't feel bad about it because there are more important things to worry about than absolutely absurd cyrillic spelling of a romance language...My point is, and I can't stress this enough: there's no such alphabet as moldovan alphabet, there's no such language as moldovan language. There's only one language for all romanians, and that language is called ROMANIAN!!! And by the way, how come you have soo great knowledge of Cyrillic spelling?
- What's "absurd" about using Cyrillic for a Romance language? The Latin alphabet was originally used by the Etruscans, whose language isn't even Indo-European let alone Romance, and look at who uses it now - Germans, Vietnamese, French, Romanians, Australian aborigines, American indians, Africans... Cyrillic is also very diverse, it is used by for example: Ukrainians, Mongolians, Eskimos, Kazaks, Abkhazians, Turks, Romanians (since you say Moldovans who speak Romano-Moldovan "are Romanian"; believe it or not thousands of us Moldovans still use Cyrillic numbnuts), Chechens, Serbians... These people come from many different races and different continents and vastly different languages, but they still use these scripts.
- Why do I have a knowledge of Cyrillic spelling? I learnt it in school, as did all Moldovans before 1989. I didn't like it at the time because it was seen then as a form of Russian opression, but now I use it more frequently because it is a way to assert my national identity separate from Russia, but not part of Romania. Of course, we also were taught Russian language in school, but I only use that when I am talking to Russians, because that language is not my identity. Do I think that Moldovan is a different language? Personally, no. But I don't think it's right that the language should be called "Romanian" to impose this name on Moldovans. So I view it as two "languages" which have different names but are almost identical. The only reason I have worked on this Wikipedia is because I know that there are still people who know Cyrillic better than Latin, that in Transdnistria region the language is taught only in Cyrillic, and that some people don't know much Latin at all. --Node ue 03:10, 22 May 2005 (UTC)
This should be a disambiguation page, pointing separately to Алфабетул молдовенеск чирилик and to Alfabetul român. Otherwise this page is misleading, to say the least. Dmitriid 14:01, 30 Jun 2005 (UTC)
