I wanted to make a logo for the Nepali Wikipedia which says, "Wikipedia, - the free encyclopedia" except where "free" means "not restricted"..

खुला is an exact word for free as in freedom (its meanings: open; not closed; not restricted, not covered)

[परिवर्तन्] फायरफक्सको बारेमा

इन्दीवरजी, लामो समयपश्चात विकिपीडियामा आउनुभएकोमा धन्यवाद तथा स्वागतम्। I dont know why firefox and netscape-based softwares have these problems. These are present in all the Indic scripts esp the problem of display of hraswa and dirgha. A lot of people have complained about it and I hope that some real solution can be worked out soon. As for a temporary solution, downloading and installing any of the Devnagari font seems to solve the problem at the moment. As for me, I have been working on installing an embedded font system so that all the characters are displayed and the hraswa and dirgha are displayed properly. [परिवर्तन्] Rendering Engine

The rendering engine of firefox is not good. Its not our problem its a problem with the rendering engine. The rendering engine for Internet Explorer is quite fine . I use opera while using ne.wikipedia.org and it works fine because opera uses the rendering engine of the Internet Explorer. It says during the installation process that for better rendering .. opera will use Internet Explorer's settings.

This is something linked with the rendering used by MPP(Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya) . They have been trying to resolve these problems. Previously they had similar problem and they used a rendering engine called "Pango" . Now they might be busy in resolving these issues. I am a developer associated with PAN Asia Localisation project with MPP.

Still there are confusions with: Is the problem with mozilla /mozilla firefox rendering engine for Nepali unicode? or .. It is with the styles that we are using.

These needs checking. Hope this feedback brings positive response.

Normally I use Opera for ne wikipedia. opera मा राम्ररी काम गर्छ । अहिले चाहीं मैले firefox मा main page हेरें र त्यसमा , "नेपालीमा लेख्नका लागि औजार" र "विकिपीडिया संबन्धि" र "ज्ञान समूह" र "अरू भाषामा विकिपीडिया" भन्ने बट्टाहरु राम्ररी आएका छैनन् । तिनीहरुलाइ पुन: लेख्यो भने आउछ । अरु सबै त ठिक छ। ति बट्टाहरुलाइ नै हटाइदिएपनि हुन्छ। मुख्य पेजलाइ नराम्रो बनाउन भन्दा त ! राजेश 16:46, 8 जेनवरी 2007 (UTC)
