- Hi, I fixed some links to the article about your family on your user site. There is another user on Polish Wikipedia that belongs to one of the branches of the Dunin-family. His name is Borkowicz. Greetings, Shaqspeare 03:49, 1 sty 2006 (CET)

- Thank you! I have a great deal of information to add about my branches of the family, but I am limited by not being able to write in Polish. For example, today we added an English-language page about the Poznan playwright Agnieszka Lipska Baranowska, my great-great-great-grandmother. Perhaps someone here would like to help translate it? [edytuj] Translation of Great-Great Granduncle
Regarding my relationship to Św. Rafał Kalinowski. Would "Uncle" be a better translation term than "Relative"? He was the brother of my great-great-grandfather. Relationship: My father: Stanley Dunin. His mother: Zofia Werner (Dunin). Her mother: Zofia Kalinowska (Werner). Her father: Gabriel Kalinowski. His brother: Jozef (Św. Rafał) Kalinowski. I would like to learn the proper term, because I have many other relatives with similar connections to document in the wikipedia. Thank you! Elonka 04:07, 1 sty 2006 (CET)

- I suppose the original Polish spelling of her name was rather Agnieszka Lipska-Baranowska but I can't be sure. I hope we can translate the article about you first - I see you're kinda famous and since now also also here. Polish term for that Rafał Kalinowski would be as far I can understand it: stryjeczny prapradziadek. Shaqspeare 04:11, 1 sty 2006 (CET)

[edytuj] Translation
I have translated most of your user page to Polish. I couldn't translate a few parts, however, and I've marked them with ?. Maybe somebody more proficient in English will do that soon --Maciek 120 21:29, 1 sty 2006 (CET)
[edytuj] Virtuti Militari
As about 17.400 people were awarded Virtuti Militari in 20th century (and some 25.000 throughout the history), I don't think it makes one automaticaly wikipedic. But there were very few people awarded with better-than-5th-class-Virtuti-Militari, less than 600 in 20th century. Shaqspeare 03:44, 3 sty 2006 (CET)
- That makes sense. I would still very much like to find out the circumstances of his award though... Do you know where I could get that information? Elonka 04:21, 3 sty 2006 (CET)
[edytuj] Rafal Kalinowski
Hi! I'm sorry, but we don't make redirects from non-diacritised forms of Polish names on pl-wiki. Shaqspeare 02:37, 23 maja 2006 (CEST)
